BioPRYNes begins with the collection of a blood sample from the horse. The samples are then shipped to the BioTracking lab, where an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is performed. Reports are sent via mail, email, phone, or fax.

BioPRYNes may indicate pregnancy in a mare, between 70 days post breeding and two weeks prior to foaling.
